Red Iron
Framed Openings consist of 8 1/2" x 3 1/4" minimum .075 red primer structural jambs and header with all necessary clips, bolts, flashing and fasteners for installation in Vision Steel Building wall systems. Red primer members exposed to weather should receive a field applied finish coat of exterior paint (not by Vision).
Galvanized
Framed Openings consist of 8 1/2" x 3 1/4" minimum .074 galvanized structural jambs and header with all necessary clips, bolts, flashing, and fasteners for installation in Vision Steel Building wall systems.
Framed Opening jambs terminate at the first girt at least 0'-9 1/2" above the header or extend to the eave strut or end rafter if no girt is available. The supporting girt will be reinforced with an 8 1/2" x 2 1/2" zee when necessary. All reinforcing zee and jamb clip connections to the supporting girt, eave strut, or end rafter are field drilled.
Channel Closure Trim
This is an option for a full jamb cover trim to be added to the trim around the framed opening. The standard "J" trim will still be used to close off the panel around the framed opening. This is a "C" shaped trim that completely covers the jambs and header.
